White Pine Dripline


Phragmites reeds, steel rods, paint 12'x65'x65' / 4x21x21m 2004 Marked the dripline - the outermost reach - of one white pine tree. "Joyce Audy Zarins zeroed in on a tree in the park that she previously sought protection under in the face of an approaching storm. To create "White Pine Dripline," she planted a series of reeds into the ground at the edges of the branches to delineate the top layer of earth that is affected by the tree.
