Two dimensional works that extend the scope of sculpture concepts are featured on the depictions page. This example shows the site of one of the trees whose footprint I recorded. Done in gouache, an opaque watercolor, it is based on an aerial image of the site. (More.)


earth flag

The earth flag is blue, green, and white with an egg shape representing organic life, including people. Blue above for sky and below for water with the central area green for land, speparated by wide white straight and curved lines. lines.
In an effort to respond to discord in contemporary life, I have designed a banner to suggest significant connections between peoples.  The Earth flag initiates an art movement for social responsibility. (more.)

At my old studio the artist's network decided to try an interdisciplinary event. Regardless of our normal media, we all bought cheap, plastic-lensed Holga cameras and set about exploring what we could do with cameras rife with light leaks and prone to double exposures. My take on it was to do frequent  double exposures and to use the light leaks as a tool. (more.)
